After visting Kyoto, Japan last summer (2019) I came home with images of the Shinto fox sculptures in my head. Often made of stone, the foxes or Inari Okami, are at many Shinto shrines throughout Kyoto and Japan. The Inari represent general prosperity among many other things and this sculpture is intended to sit at an entranceway or prominent place in your home to help welcome good fortune.
